34 Appendix A Bus Hierarchy
In general, it is not possible to predict the actual Bus numbers. We only
know how they increment starting from the Magma Host Card.
The key point in the figure of the PCI Bus topology is that the
connecting cable between the Host Interface Card and the backplane is
actually a PCI bus itself. This is represented in the Windows Device
Manager as shown below:
NOTE
All PCI cards installed in the PCI Expansion chassis will appear on
the Third PCI Bus behind the PCI Bus that the Host Interface Card is
installed on. If you need to know the actual Bus number, right-click
on the Bus and select Properties.
